Mr. Aubin was recently named News Director of the Quebec television network, Tele-Metropole Inc. As a bilingual Quebecker who has held key positions in both French & English-language news media, including; Le Devoir, The Gazette, L'actualite, and The Globe and Mail, Benoit Aubin is in an ideal position to develop accurate views on what makes this country great and grate!
Whether writing his column on current affairs in L'actualite, managing Le Devoir's daily news operation, or writing a column on French Quebec culture and society as he used to do for The Gazette, Benoit Aubin has always specialized in exposing the unexpected, controversial, and often-times challenging points of view on the true nature of Canadian society.
He has addressed many conventions and think tanks, on issues such as; the politics of modern Quebec, culture of the "distinct society" in the global village, and the dynamics of Quebec politics within the framework of the Canadian Confederation.
Most recently, Mr. Aubin has been asked to address audiences on issues
of business management. While in the position of Managing Editor from 1993-1995,
he met the challenge of creating a new vision and successfully implementing
change at Le Devoir, a 20 million dollar company of idiosyncratic
personalities caught in the midst of a variety of labour and financial
problems.
