Dr. Sherry S. Cooper is senior vice-president and chief economist of Nesbitt Burns, Canada's foremost investment dealer. Dr. Cooper, a former Federal Reserve Board economist, leads Bay Street's top-ranked economics team and provides the economic analysis for Nesbitt Burns Securities, a primary dealer in the United States. She has a significant global following, gives over 200 speeches each year worldwide, is a regular commentator on CNBC, CNN, CBC, and CTV, and writes a bi-weekly column for the National Post. Sherry has also written a book, published in 1999 by Key Porter. The Cooper Files: A Practical Guide toYour Future develops the powerful forces of the technology revolution and what they mean to you. She is widely quoted in the U.S. and Canadian press, and was a former member of the Barron's Economic Roundtable. Dr. Cooper has a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh and served for five years as an economist at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C.
