 Grant Devine 


Grant Devine, as the former premier of Saskatchewan, is a speaker with great vision and knowledge in the fields of Canadian politics, economics and agriculture. As premier, he led the Progressive Conservative Party from 1982 to 1991,  and was an active participant in the momentous Canada - U.S Free Trade negotiations. Presently, Mr. Devine is a consultant to governments and businesses regarding environmental, energy, trade and food, and agricultural industries.  He can be heard regularly on CBC radio on "Premiers Pundants," a live debate show which explores issues relating to politics and Canadian public policies.

While having achieved a Ph.D status in economics from Ohio State University, he also has a Master’s degree in both Marketing and Agricultural Studies.  Highly regarded in his field, Grant Devine has received many awards and certificates including a Fellowship award from the Agricultural Institute of Canada in 1994. He has been both published and written about in some of Canada’s most well known agricultural and consumer journals and books.

With his extensive education and involvement in Canadian politics, Grant Devine is a dynamic and insightful speaker on a wide range of current public policy issues from economics and politics to future trends in education, health care and food consumption.
