Ruth Getter explains that by rushing to get on to
the "new economy" bandwagon, companies and investors alike may be missing
the real opportunities of the world economy. Her commonsense approach
offers you the perspective you need to set you apart from the rest of the
herd and make the best possible investment and business decisions.
In an era of rapid change and volatility, now is the time to ask some very basic questions: Just how new is the new economy? Have we entered a world where the old economic and financial rules no longer apply? What are the most important factors that you need to consider when making business or personal investment decisions? As former Senior VP and Chief Economist with the TD Bank, Ruth has the knowledge, experience and the courage to face these question head on. While recognizing the far-reaching impact of globalization and new technology, Ruth takes a practical look at what really matters in an economy - both to individuals and companies. She concludes that those relying on the distinction between a new and an old economy are taking unnecessary risks. The laws of economics have not been rewritten and enthusiasm for everything dot com has created a dangerous speculative bubble. Ruth will show you where the real value and opportunities are in the world economy, helping you to protect yourself from the risks of overvalued investments and illusory wealth. |
