Rick began working in the advertising business as a research assistant at 16 years of age. Concurrent with attending university, he worked as a writer, media buyer and ultimately, settled into the client services' side of the business, for a New York-based communications company. In 1974, he was appointed Managing Director of the Quebec arm of a major advertising agency. Later, Rick moved to Toronto to become the youngest Vice-President of a top-ten agency ever appointed in Canada.
Rick has worked on bilingual communications programs for companies as diverse as airlines and textiles. He has authored numerous articles regarding communications, been an associate faculty member of A.M.R. and has lectured extensively throughout North America. Rick has been a featured commentator on the CHFI Radio business program, "Money Talks" and is a regular columnist in Canadian Retailer Magazine.
In October, 1985 he opened his own full-service advertising agency, which has experienced what is arguably the most successful growth in the history of Canadian Advertising.
