Michael Kane is an award-winning personal finance reporter whose work is renowned throughout Western Canada.  His investment and finance columns are read by thousands of loyal fans interested in the perspectives and insights that he offers in his entertaining and thought-provoking writings.

After much deliberation and extensive prodding from his enthusiastic fans, he has finally succumbed to pressure and has co-authored, along with Ron Southward, a personal finance book, entitled The Gold Is In the Rainbow.   To massive acclaim and media attention, this book is being published by Stoddart and is scheduled to hit bookstores across Canada on October 10th, 1998.

Kane writes every Friday in The Vancouver Sun in their Smart Money  section, as well as having a daily brief for the Business Section to report on any developments that will help readers to manage their money, including tax planning, investing, fine-tuning their mortgage, building and managing an RRSP and dealing with inheritance and estate issues.  Michael Kane’s career spans more than 30 years in newspapers in the U.K. and Canada.  For the past six years, he has specialized in personal finance and in 1995, he was named reporter of the year by the Canadian Association of Financial Planners.
