She is the author of over 90 publications on empirical and policy-analytical subjects, including: Who’s on First? Recent lectures have covered topics such as Technology Issues in the International Trading System (for the Seoul Global Trade Forum), APEC and Regime Creation in the Asia Pacific - the OECD Model (for the East-West Centre Workshop on APEC and Regime Creation), The Globalization of Trade: Overview and Context-Setting (for the Bank of Montreal Canada/Mexico Retreat) and Human Resources in the Global Economy: Issues for Canadian Competitiveness (for the Canadian Pulp and Paper Association).
Dr. Ostry holds 17 honorary degrees from Universities in Canada and
abroad, is a Commander of the Order of Canada, and a recipient of the Outstanding
Achievement Award of the Government of Canada. She is the Chairman
of the International Advisory Council of The Bank of Montreal, is a Director
of Power Financial Corporation and a member of the International Advisory
Boards of Power Corporation and of Syntex in California.
